Review on Personal Portable Smoothies One Button Operation by Kimberlee Winn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Minor modification required

I needed a small 3 cup blender that I could carry in my van to make the fiber and protein drinks my doctor prescribed each day. This blender has proven to be the right choice. As other reviewers have pointed out, you have to be Hulk Hogan or King Kong to turn this thing on. At first I thought the locking button was in the wrong place, but after reading the reviews and taking a closer look at the base, I took my utility knife and cut out small bumps on the two opposing tabs at the base of the blade to fit into the base of the Blade. Fixing grooves in the floor. The tabs are there to keep the mug in place while in use, but even without them the handle is firm enough to stay in place. It now requires a reasonable amount of force to turn the cup to the on position. As far as blending performance goes, I've only used it with liquids and powders. I wasn't impressed that it could handle heavy objects like ice. I will make ice cream and update this review after trying it. So with a modification to the locking mechanism, this appears to be an adequate mixer. It arrived as advertised with 2 mugs and lids. Edit 4/7/2021: After half a dozen smoothies, including 3-4 with a few ice cubes (3-4), I've added a star to the review. The blender can easily crush ice mixed with liquid. It takes up a lot less space than my Easter blender, so I now use it at home and take it with me on the go. If the base of the blade fits right into the body of the blender, it's a 5 star item. I am happy with this blender and recommend it to anyone willing to spend 5 minutes trimming the base of the blade.
