The perfect hub for that hidden back corner behind a bunch of hard to reach rims. It's a heavy metal box that stays in place, so it's easy to plug in, unplug, and generally ignore. It's heavy enough not to be pushed or pulled by the weight of the cables. (But on the downside, it looks pretty industrial -- not as light, sleek, and plasticky as many others. You probably won't want to put it on your desk where you'll always be looking at it.) Unlike the Lighter and I have less Tried expensive hubs, this one doesn't turn off randomly and doesn't cause any problems. I installed this thing the day it arrived (hidden on the back of the shelf), hooked up four peripheral drives, and haven't had to mess with it since. For the first time in years, all of my remote peripherals stay connected and I'm not getting any notifications about how to make my devices faster. While it's more expensive than others, it's worth it if your budget allows.
