Repair Broken Car Remote Control Buttons

So my key buttons broke and I couldn't press the button to open or lock my doors. Thank goodness I have an app for my car model that I have used to protect my car, but when the wifi and signal don't work it gets annoying. So I bought this replacement thinking I would bring it to you at the dealer and have it programmed which would cost around $2-300. Then I removed the old gasket on my faub and just replaced it and it worked lol! Oh my god, my remote access works and it's $7. I ended up getting other friends with broken car remotes to do the same.
