Very useful when stripping wires once you figure out how to accommodate different sizes. There are no screws for attachment, but holes in the kit. The power cord is short, so you'll need a 3-pin extension cord if your power adapter is more than 1-2 feet away. The description is correct in terms of portability; However, you need to think about the distance to the power source and how to protect the device. I was using it lightly at the time of this review and plan to really review it later. I will update my review if necessary. For now, I'll say that if you want to strip long wires, it's easier to do it with two people. One to feed and the second to separate the cover from the wire.
