I would not recommend the best in automotive and automotive electronics

I bought this because it was supposed to be OBD2 compliant. My car has an OBD2 connection. The included OBD2 cable fits snugly and powers the device. After turning on and selecting OBD2, after a while it says my car is not OBDII compliant as long as it is running on OBDII. thing here. The instructions say to use a USB cable and a cigarette lighter (power) port. There are two connectors on the back. One of them connects to the supplied OBD2 cable. There is another connector that is suitable for Micro-USB. OBD2 ends with mini USB. The only cable that comes with the kit is the OBD2 cable. Other USB cable is not included. I had USB cables that fit both ports. However, the device will NOT turn on from a USB port plugged into a cigarette lighter/power outlet. I have accumulated several of these cables over the years and have tried all of them. No USB power supply. The only way to power it is via the supplied OBD2 cable, and there's no point in leaving it plugged into my car's OBD2 connection if I only want to use it as a GPS device. So it doesn't work. . They market it as OBD2 compliant, but it actually isn't. The instructions refer to using the USB cable to power the device when OBD2 is not available. They don't supply a USB power cable. Biggest mistake on my part is that I thought it would work, I threw away the packaging it came in otherwise I would have just returned it for a refund. I'll probably smash it to pieces. hammer and threw it in the trash. I will definitely not be buying from this seller again.
