I bought this for my 16 month old daughter to replace her Magna Doodle which she broke (the guide piece broke) so it seemed like a good solution ( no moving parts). ). She loves it. It's lightweight so I'm not sure how long it will hold up to my little one's abuse. It's not as bright in the photos, but still visible. Overall happy with the purchase. We'll see how long the baby lasts. UPDATE: While he doesn't appear to be super heavy, he's still going strong over a year later. My baby definitely tested it
