Review on 🔥 Thermaltake Massive TM - Laptop Cooling Pad with Adjustable Temperature Sensor, Aluminum Panel, Dual 120mm Fans - Fits 10-17 Inch Notebooks CL-N002-PL12BL-A by Brad Bowers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Revised Review - One of the levers broke within a month of receipt rendering it unusable. EDIT - now BOTH legs are broken.

EDIT: I had to revise my rating from 5 to 1 star - within a month one of the plastic levers holding the stand broke rendering it unusable. I didn't push it, didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just put my hands in a higher position and it broke. When I received it I noticed it had a 'line' on that arm and ripped there. Very disappointed. My old Alienware M17x is huge, old and VERY hot. In fact, it has often given me blue screens of death when turning it on and off due to overheating. Just browsing the web gets fans blowing hard (and I've deleted it multiple times), and something like watching or editing a video gets fans up to jet engine volume. So I didn't expect miracles with the Massive A21 cooling. pan, but it comes pretty close. While I thought I would prefer one fan speed setting to normal and high speed, a large fan is quiet enough that I just keep it on high. The controls are simple - a small on/off switch on the back of the pole and a button that gives you normal and high speed. But honestly, that's all I need. Everything about this tablet is simple. I didn't get one with thermal sensors because that's another thing that can go wrong - I can press the normal and high button with more care than some sensors. Connects to the USB port of the laptop. It doesn't have a USB port so you lose the USB port on your laptop, but I have 4 and I still don't need more than 2 at a time. Since using this tablet, my laptop fans are quiet and the bottom of the laptop stays cool. The bottom of this laptop hasn't cooled down in two years! No more crashes and very quiet again. For the money, well, cheaper than the new laptop I was planning to buy due to overheating.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
