What's the point? on cooling pads and external fans

Adjustable plastic feet do not support my 15" MacBook Pro. They cannot be split far enough. The laptop basically sits on these supports. Maximum angle, my laptop would just start to slide there the stoppers don't work at all. The biggest concern is the cooling performance. The thing is, I don't think it works at all. The temperature sensors show 2829 degrees Celsius when my computer is idle with an internal CPU temperature of 60 °C. When the computer boots up and the internal temperature of the

Good cooler but not particularly portable or quiet

This portable cooling pad seems to cool my laptop pretty well, but it's just as big and bulky as the one I've replaced (which doesn't claim to be portable be). ). The angle at which the laptop is held appears quite steep. There are nice rubber pads on the surface to keep it from slipping, but if they ever fail I think my computer will slide off the table. However, I would give this at least four stars except that it is too loud. In the quietest conditions, I can still hear it humming very…

Works great and looks great

UPDATE: I added four small 3M wall mount brackets to keep my very thin MacBook Air from sliding forward and sideways (that was the only issue I had would have). Wall hangers work great! Photos added. Does exactly what it's supposed to and looks good. I use it to keep my MacBook Air cool when I do a lot of video editing, which makes the CPU work hard and get hot. This device does an excellent job of keeping the temperature around 85 (Fahrenheit). Without them, the MacBook Air will run 10 to 15…

Good airflow / bad USB ports.

Well built, stylish and durable with a detachable USB power cable that connects to a USB charger or directly to a laptop. Two 120mm fans can move a lot of air, but using it on your lap can be counterproductive. Turbo tuning seems to make things easier. Some other buyers have complained that it can be noisy, but that's not a problem. Noise increases when you use Turbo mode, and 120mm fans generate noise at higher speeds. However, this is barely noticeable compared to the inlet and outlet of your

Very easy to use but has a few downsides.

Let's start by saying it's super light and incredibly strong for its weight. It supports larger laptops and keeps it much cooler than without it. It doesn't really come with instructions (and I still don't know what those little folding pins are for), but once you've got the system plugged into your computer, it keeps it cool. My biggest issue with the system is that it basically turns any USB 2.0 port and up into a USB 2.0 port. That means if you have something you REALLY want to use in that…

  • Hard to say

EDIT: I had to revise my rating from 5 to 1 star - within a month one of the plastic levers holding the stand broke rendering it unusable. I didn't push it, didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just put my hands in a higher position and it broke. When I received it I noticed it had a 'line' on that arm and ripped there. Very disappointed. My old Alienware M17x is huge, old and VERY hot. In fact, it has often given me blue screens of death when turning it on and off due to overheating. Just…

Great for a laptop used as a desktop.

Can't comment on the durability of this product yet, but it works quite well. I've been using my laptop primarily as a desktop for a while (so I don't use it on my lap) and I've had to throttle it to keep the fan from going into jet mode. With this thing I turned off the throttling. This keeps the idle temperature about 8 degrees cooler and makes it harder for the CPU to get hot enough to fully overclock the fan. It just seems to make the internal cooling more efficient. Cons: 1. The temp gauge

Ordered A22, received A21.

If you are interested in Massive A22, please note that A21 can be sent to you. If you look at the photos, the penultimate photo is A21. I ordered the A22 model with two 120mm fans. I received the A21 model with a 200mm fan. The A21 also lacks speed dialing. I issued a refund for this and ordered Cooler Master U3 plus in return. The Cooler Master U3 has three small fans, each of which makes a whirring noise. Also, the laptop slides from top to bottom. So I decided to try the Massive U21 and will
