Review on ๐Ÿšด Tiekoun Non-Slip Mountain Bike Pedals - Flat Road Cycling Bicycle Pedals [9/16 Inch] by Alif Wills

Decent pedal but caveats

I bought Tiekoun mountain bike pedals, flat road bike pedals with a non-slip platform to put on my bike for delivery and rode them about 100 miles in various conditions. Last week. First the positive. The processing quality makes a very solid impression. Even with a pretty hard crash, they hold up to the abuse I've put them through (trust me, I broke the pedals in less than 10 miles of riding). The bearings are smooth with no play and I really like the low profile which reduces the likelihood of pedal strikes. The drop of these pedals are the pins. They are rounded and I find them difficult to hold even in Five Ten cycling shoes with a very sticky sole designed for flat pedals. I am an aggressive driver who constantly hits curbs/potholes/tram rails/etc. jumps. and terrain corners. In things like this, grip is paramount. For this reason, I would not recommend these pedals for applications where you need good traction (mountain biking, gravel riding, aggressive urban riding, BMX, etc.). However, they are great for commuting or recreational hybrid pedaling. As I said, the build quality seems better than pedals that cost in the $15-20 range and I expect they will last a while. However, if you're an aggressive rider or need something for mountain biking or gravel riding, I'd spend the extra $10 and buy something like the CrankBrothers Stamp 1.
