This socket connects to the Pleson QC3 cordless phone charger on my pontoon dash. It provides the right fast charging voltage for my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. Installation was easy as all I had to do was remove the existing 12v cigarette socket and connect the new socket using the existing cables. One correction was that the original exhaust pipe had flat sides (for vertical alignment) so I had to sand the hole in the dash a bit to allow the new exhaust pipe to fit and then make sure it was oriented correctly. Another small issue is that when the USB cable is plugged in, the nice LED voltage indicator is covered by a protective rubber cap. I simply cut the rubber stopper in half so that the top USB socket is always protected from rain and the LED is visible with the USB cable connected below. interchangeable fitting and providing two separate rubber weather shields at the top and bottom to ensure the LED is never covered.
