The clips on my cigarette lighter broke so I used this as the perfect time to customize my 06 a little more to suit my needs. I simply cut the wires off of it and tied them to the cables provided for that purpose. It was very easy (2 minutes after I found the screw to remove the center console). Now I have a voltmeter and two USB ports for fast charging. No more car charger needed. Super cool and looks like a factory.

I installed this on a 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT and it works well (fast charging, accurate voltmeter reading) and looks good. Haven't had any water ingress issues yet (ridden in the rain a few times), the caps are rubberized and seem to cover the USB charging ports well. A small note: the size is approximately 1mm larger than the standard opening for this type of adapter. So far I am very satisfied with the device; works perfectly.

This does NOT have the aluminum body as the product name suggests. It's not waterproof either, as it has two holes on the back of the case. it was very easy to install it is about 1/16 wide to fit the original hole so i used my box cutter and fed it into the hole a few times and just used the fork introduced which they give a pigtail for you, plus an extra set of plugs if you decide to just replace the standard socket and I did that because it made the installation even quicker. This socket connects to the Pleson QC3 cordless phone charger on my pontoon dash. It provides the right fast charging voltage for my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. I used a 1 1/4 or 32mm rotary cutter and it worked great. The voltmeter is fairly accurate. It is off at 0.03V. I tested this with 2 known voltmeters and slowly discharged the 12V battery to see when the voltage on the solar trip voltmeter would drop. Fast charging works 100%. I tested it with s8, s10 and s10+. I had a chance to test it, but very briefly, with the iPhone 11 pro, and in 14-15 minutes it went from 5% to 23%. S10 went from 32% to 41% in 4 minutes. I've been using one of these in my truck for almost half a year and it still works in Minnesota weather. I had to ream the original hole a bit to get it to fit, but that was to be expected. In fact, I'm so happy with these meters that I've started using them on our portable inverter carts at work in place of our old $100 battery. Meter. I am completely satisfied with this charger! It powers my automatic wireless charger with no issues. The advertised QC 3.0 really works and I can take full advantage of the fast wireless charging for quick charging/recharging on the commute.
