I've been using one of these in my truck for almost half a year and it still works in Minnesota weather. I had to ream the original hole a bit to get it to fit, but that was to be expected. In fact, I'm so happy with these meters that I've started using them on our portable inverter carts at work in place of our old $100 battery. Meter. Of course there is a slight loss in accuracy, but these little things are still close to accuracy (about 1/10 volt with a little rounding). They operate over a much wider voltage range than our older meters. They have significantly less parasitic draft than our older gauges. They also allow employees to easily charge their phones as a nice added benefit. I have about 10 inverter trucks that use them all over the US and so far I haven't heard a single complaint.
