When I first used it I was only inches from the snake. I lowered my tongue and it hooked perfectly. The second time I was within 2 inches, which is still a lot better than my step out, step back 3 feet, step out, step back one foot, punch, pull forward 6 inches routine. I'm sure my bumper will thank me. And I use it with a portable sawmill, so I hitch a trailer at least half a dozen times a week. I've gotten pretty good at queuing without her, but it's a lot easier this way. And it works great even when the windmill is at a ridiculous angle to the truck. My only complaint is that it's not very durable, so I'll probably need a new one every year, but it's certainly built well for the average user. And for the time it saves me, it's worth it.
