Great alternative to expensive cargo box

My setup: 2019 Toyota HighlanderHaulmaster Cargo Cargo Carrier by Harbor Freight (similar to Maxxhaul Cargo Cargo Carrier) Bad: I personally didn't trust the strap itself so I used 2 luggage straps to compress my cargo and better attach the bag to the trunk. That's about all the bad I can say about this carrier. I was so happy with my purchase and I think my setup was the best bang for my buck. I spent about $150 on this roof rack, a Haulmaster Cargo, and anti-rust spray. Much cheaper than my original plan to get a $500-$600 cargo box. The Asani's carry case could withstand highway speeds of up to 83 miles per hour. I used it for my 2,000 mile 5 day trip from Florida to North Carolina to Tennessee to Georgia and Florida this Christmas. From Florida to Tennessee it rained the whole time and I didn't see a drop in the bag. It rained again on the way back from Tennessee to Florida, but the bag coped with it without any problems. I also stayed in a cabin at Smokey's so the road was very steep and winding. The Asani bag kept my stuff safe all the time. By the way, the Asani bag is about 2 to 4 inches longer than the Haulmaster transport trolley. no breach of the deal, just a FYI. I packed this bag with clothes and winter jackets in ziplock vacuum bags and about 6-8 pairs of winter/hiking shoes (out of their boxes). All in all, I highly recommend this setup. But I plan to spray the trunk with a rust remover so I can use it again on my next trip abroad.
