These ponchos are worth investing in. The ponchos fold and crease (almost as flat as disposable ponchos), but the plastic is much more water-resistant. The drawstring hood works well and as shown in the picture the backpack easily fits under a poncho. It's a very basic item, so there's not much more to say other than that a $5 reusable poncho is a lot more valuable than using flimsy disposables. Oh yeah, and it's also logical to think that a reusable thicker plastic poncho is a lot more eco-friendly than (essentially) a large disposable plastic bag.
