. I bought a box of two. One for the ground floor and one for the basement. Installed them yesterday. Woke up last night and saw lightning. I wonder what it was. After a while I saw another. I wonder what might be happening outside the home that could cause bright flashes. I got up from the bed and went into the corridor where the block was installed. Here it is! This hell of a green LED flashes every 40 seconds to let you know it's working. I'm so glad it's keeping me up at night and showing me how well it works. I put a small piece of blue tape over the light to keep me sleeping, but the green LED still lit the hallway. Then came the black tape, but when the light flashes it's so bright you can see it through the white plastic sleeve. For me this is completely unsuitable. I give it two stars instead of one because there is no one in the basement after dark so it can squint and not disturb us. The device works, so I have to give it his credit. The corridor is an issue though and I will either return them both or give the top number to a friend as a prank and buy another number that doesn't remind me of disco days or scare me about being petted. Counterfeit product for my use.
