Not sure if they will work in true emergencies. I checked it as seen in the video but with suspicion. The boxes were damaged and appear cheaply made. But I still have a ton more in the house. Works on 3 aa which is handy. Great price if they work. Mounted on the wall, not the ceiling, so I couldn't use the existing bracket as usual.

I'm disappointed and have to draw attention to the product because you can trust your life with it. After putting in new batteries twice, I found it was dead and it didn't warn me in any way that it was necessary to change the batteries.
