Review on ๐ŸŒผ Proudly Snappy Spring-Loaded Centering by Sean Flint

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No better than the cheap version!

These Snappy Self-Centering Drills are no better than the cheap Taiwanese versions, so save some money! I'm a carpenter and I use tools like this to install hinges and guides. I have a set of original Vix beats that are 30 years old. The springs are worn out, as are the drill bits and the tip of the guide. You owe me nothing! I drilled 1000 holes with it. I bought the Snappy version thinking American and 4.3 stars how could I be wrong! Well, after my first cook, the spring weakened noticeably as others have said, but that's not the biggest problem. Around the 20th hinge, the drill slipped out and got stuck in the closet rod! Unlike my old Vix bits and even the cheap Chinese version I keep on hand just in case, there is no flat on the drill bit to tighten the set screw on! I pulled the bit out of the ceiling with a vise and finished with my worn Vix bit. Generally buy the cheapest!
