This tester works pretty well, but it's a little TOO sensitive. the air 4-6 inches away was "hot". There is a flashlight on one end, which is very useful. Although sensitive, it's a decent instrument and well built. I've dropped it a few times from 8 feet or so onto laminate flooring, concrete, wood, etc. with no breakage or damage. If there was a way to lower the sensitivity it would be a solid five. Always turn off the circuit when working on it. This will let you know if there is power nearby.
