Works well in paint

This is my first gesso so I can't compare to other brands. I used this in an adult coloring book to prepare the paper for a humid environment. I drew a few test pages and let them dry (little time, but I live in a warm climate). The page feels rough, almost like sandpaper, it definitely added some teeth to the paper. The color of the paper has also changed slightly, now it's a little more off-white. I have tested the following materials over Gesso Clear Color Pencils: Prismacolor: Works very well. It managed to apply and mix a lot of water. I might even go after the watercolor has dried and add more water and touch it up. Could use lots of water without destroying non-watercolor paper. Koi watercolors: Behave like watercolor pencils. Multiple Types of Colored Pencils: Didn't work well, I'm not a fan of using pencils over gesso. The lines were rougher and more difficult to blend and control. They also created a lot of colored dust that could discolor the painting if you're not careful. Stickler: can be applied if necessary, no problem. Acrylic paint (Americana): It was possible to use acrylic both without water and with water. as laundry. Rainbow Medium: Mixed with watercolors, the applied color became very shimmery. There were no problems with the Gesso.Art masking liquid: it worked perfectly over the gesso. Still protected the paper from the watercolor and when I took it off I could still feel the gesso on the paper underneath.
