The quality of this device is not very good. The parts are fragile and there is no thermal contact between the case and the drive. Additionally, the included USB 3.0 to USB-C cable has loose pin ends, resulting in accidental wiggle disconnects. I'm not sure if the cable messed up my drive or thermal management, but one of the two did and I can't get the new drive to work with multiple OSes, hardware interfaces, machines, etc. It fried an expensive drive with confidence.
