Review on Amazon Basics Dashboard 🚗 Phone Mount: Universal Stick-on-Holder for Car by Paul Ajayi

I was very happy to use this with my new phone magnet that fits the back of my phone case. When I got this I just tested the magnet and it was very strong and strong so I was thrilled to have this thing installed in my car. I have cleaned my own car and used alcohol wipes to dust the dashboard clean (like you can do with other dust free wipes that leave a weird film). The day was neither hot nor cold, super mild and not sunny at all. I attached this thing to the dash and waited about an hour before putting my real phone on it. Immediately after holding the phone to the magnet, it fell off the dashboard completely. I picked it up, touched the adhesive and found it wasn't sticky at all, maybe the same cheap supermarket sticker that cashiers give kids when they're in line at the checkout. I tried re-gluing the thing, hoping that maybe I just had to press it down and hold it for a long time, but that obviously wasn't working. I was so disappointed that I threw it away when driving to my destination. The glue was so non-tacky that it didn't even pick up hairs off my car carpet from my dogs, which usually stick to EVERYTHING. It gets one star because the magnet works great. Clay not.
