Makes you angry. I got a pair of cross hatch lift cylinders a few weeks ago and didn't like their performance so based on the reviews I replaced them with these today. I cut myself! Why?!?! Well, it doesn't say it anywhere in the instructions, but I don't think they worked properly when the label was upside down. The hatch just wouldn't go down. So I had to remove and replace each lift cylinder. During the installation process, without closing the hatch, removing it, replacing it, and then installing it, I cut my left palm. You have a lot of power. I'm a little afraid to open my sunroof. You really feel the power, and using one hand to lower the hatch is no longer an option. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, so I'll keep an eye on it for now. It's definitely easier to open than the other pair I bought and recently returned to Revain. But they are not that easy to install and remove. You shouldn't hurt yourself trying to replace the sunroof lift cylinder, so I'm wondering if it's a tiny specification different from the OEM GM struts, or if it's a quality control issue. Needless to say, the installation was NOT smooth. So I'm going to stick with my general opinion for a couple of weeks to see if they're worth recommending or not. How painful.
