Easy installation! in Shocks, Struts & Suspension

Matches my '09 Traverse perfectly. One of the spacers failed, but I decided to replace both. I left the lift door open and my 12 year old used a flat head screwdriver to pry off the clips. The new stands already had clamps, so the bars had to be slid into place. Did both in about 10 minutes. Very easy to install. If you're not sure, YouTube is your friend!

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Questionable buy for Seniors

Working as intended: Lifting legs

Day and night. Can't speak to durability, but they're easy to install and a lot nicer to open and close than GM crap. GMs were difficult to close and they never opened all the way and I usually hit my head. The tech said GM designed them not to open all the way. No wonder GM. Even if they only last a few years, they're cheap enough to replace and still a lot cheaper than GM replacements.

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons
  • Quality

Happy wife happy life!

The woman took her traverse to the dealer to fix the rear elevator door, the guy wanted to charge her $160 for it. When she told me this I laughed and said hold my beer, after 5 minutes I ordered them, once they arrived it took another 5 to be replaced. So I saved $130 in extra beer money! I was just joking about holding my beer, I would never hand my beer to anyone else to hold.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are defects

Doesn't quite fit 2011 Traverse

These are good shocks but they were a little longer (an inch) than the originals. When the lift gate reaches its maximum opening, the hitch arm makes a loud bang. Only the dealer with their coded tool can recalibrate the liftgate lift. So I removed them, oiled my old racks that creaked and they work like new.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Safety

Works on 2012 Chev Traverse

I did a little research on different brands. I looked at the costs. chose this pair. Installation took about 85 seconds. It took me the longest to find something to hold the trunk lid open while I removed the old ones. Then a few clicks with a small screwdriver and you're done. The only complaint came from a lady who said, I quote, "it seems a lot more difficult to close the trunk." well yeah well. now it opens normally by itself.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Empty

Better OEM! the best lifting legs

The tailgate pillars on my 2017 Traverse never raised the door without manual assistance. I even asked the dealer to replace the struts under warranty, but the original parts are no better. After banging my head on the tailgate for about the hundredth time from not raising it all the way, I went in search of better struts. I installed the Maxpow spacers yesterday and the changes were immediately visible. The tailgate will now fully extend from whatever point you let go. Surprisingly, it also…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

The new one didn't even last 9 months!

I replaced both hatchback pillars with a Chevy Traverse as stated. I have to say the struts were very strong and after installing these new struts it took a lot of effort to close the tailgate. then last week I went to open the back and the POW (or more like MAXPOW) broke off, popped out of the pin and the sunroof almost hit me! Of course, the sunroof does not work with just one pillar. So I go to Revain and check my order and I see it is covered by a 1 year warranty and I bought it less than 9

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

When installing, the label must face up.

Makes you angry. I got a pair of cross hatch lift cylinders a few weeks ago and didn't like their performance so based on the reviews I replaced them with these today. I cut myself! Why?!?! Well, it doesn't say it anywhere in the instructions, but I don't think they worked properly when the label was upside down. The hatch just wouldn't go down. So I had to remove and replace each lift cylinder. During the installation process, without closing the hatch, removing it, replacing it, and then…
