Overall the product is great and works great. The only downside I see is that the red color makes the dish look really sloppy unless all of the remaining oil is used up. You know what it's like when you use room temperature butter and a knife. The knife just won't pick up all the oil, leaving jagged oil stains. It's crazy, but I've had such a "creamy" oiler (20+ years). The only reason for his death is the cracked rim of the plate. It really was still pretty useful BUT I dropped it and thought I'd like this one too. A cream dish has never looked messy. I think you can tell I'm not a big fan of red for general presentation. That being said, if you're not so stupidly picky about the above. That's a great butter dish!
