No problem **(problem update)

I have several Sicce pumps. They have all worked flawlessly for many years. UPDATE: This Sicce 1.0 pump never achieved its claimed quiet pump performance. Maybe I have a lemon. Now, after about 1.5 years, it has become very noisy and its performance has dropped significantly, but it has never been remotely quiet. Trying to enjoy the tank while listening to the pump was disappointing. Of course, no pump will ever be quiet (some would say sicce), but this one was loud to begin with and only got worse over time. At first I thought it would improve with use like aquarium pumps do, but it doesn't. A quick internet search reveals that many people have noisy sicce pumps AND many "quiet" sicce pumps. It seems that modern production has fallen into an accident. It seems that even good brands have some setbacks. I have Sicce 2.0 which has been running for 8 years now with no issues or noise. Back then, Sicce had a reputation for being big quitters, but they seem to be losing that. I bought 1.0 based on my experience with 2.0. If I had searched the internet I would have seen that their reputation had changed.*** Further inspection of the pump revealed that it had a crack in the housing near the return hose connection. I tried setting it up as an in-line pump and it started leaking like crazy even before it was turned on (no pressure). It might have been hacked when I bought it as it never worked properly. Anyway I think this explains why the output volume and possibly the noise has been reduced. I've tried contacting Sicce for warranty support but so far I've been unable to get the contact form on their website to work.
