best small pumps on the market

Extremely well constructed stainless steel stem unlike some others which are ceramic and prone to breakage. Replacement parts are also available that other cheaper brands don't offer. I bought a used tank that had it in it. Too bad I didn't pay attention to it when filling up. After a few weeks it stopped working. When I opened it, it was caked with calcium. Soaking it overnight in a citric acid solution after disassembling brought it back to life like brand new.

Nano Tank Pump for Victory

Excellent Pump. It's very quiet and powerful for its size! I use it in a Fluval Evo13.5 tank and it's probably too strong. To be honest the .5 is probably a better fit, but I like the extra power. Note to Evo owners where this pump is making noise. I've found that standard Lochline outlets restrict flow and create "back pressure" at the pump, causing noise. By using higher flow outlets or removing small outlets, the noise is eliminated and it is nearly silent.

Excellent pump brand

Product wise I would give all Sicce pumps 5 stars. My only issue was that I bought two of these and one appeared to have been returned. The box contained no documentation of the contents of the original packaging, although all the necessary parts were present. I couldn't tell if it was used or not, but it was clear the cord had been unwound at some point. As I mentioned I order two of these so I'm not sure if this is the one that was used or not but one of them makes a buzzing noise which I'm…

Embedded application? Definitely!

It is also an integrated pump! Although I almost returned it until I read the instructions. You will need to snap off the front and use the threaded bit included in the kit which has a 1/2" male connection. The nut that secures the attachment has to be separated from the detachable front and it's a bit tricky, but it can be prized off. carefully. I used this to make a custom triple water filter aquarium filter for the whole house and this little pump had no problem pulling through the setup and

Defective after 4 months

I bought 2 of these pumps for my JBJ 30 Gallon All in One. The product fits well in the rear chamber, but the pumps are unreliable. After 4 months of use, one of the pumps will not turn on after being unplugged. I have to disassemble and reassemble the pump every time I turn it off to clean the tank. The second pump sometimes restarts, but sometimes I have to take it apart to restart. The pumps come with a "guarantee" but I haven't had any luck with that. You must submit a warranty claim on the

Great pump for Fluval 13.5

I received my pump today and I like it so far.1. Movements Lots of water compared to the stock pump that comes with the Fluval 13.5, at the moment there is a small dead zone in the tank which is under the return jets. But very minimal dead zone.2. No changes, the standard return hose that comes with Fluval is a bit longer due to the minimum height of this pump so there is a bit of slack. I didn't turn them off just in case that pump fails for some reason and I need to go back to the stock…

I expected more - a year later

I installed a new 18 gallon cube in January 2020. I've been keeping aquariums on and off since 1982 and have had up to 12 tanks at a time; I have kept fresh, brackish, salt and reef aquariums. This aquarium dominates a room in my guest house where I've spent many hours reading over the past year. To be honest, once installed, this pump never impressed me. Quiet from day one and it got louder. My pump was serviced every 3 months. 2) with 12" head the performance was "average" at best. 3) It is…

Great pump to retrofit from Fluval Evo, great flow and very quiet.

I bought this pump to replace the regular pump on my Fluval Evo 13.5. This has SIGNIFICANTLY increased the flow in my Evo and it's quiet, I can't hear it at all, in fact I even checked a few times thinking it wouldn't work but then I see the flow is strong! Installing the Evo return chamber is a bit more difficult than with a standard pump, but it can be done. As soon as I opened the packaging of this Sicce pump I was impressed, it seems to be of very high quality and not the usual plastic…

No problem **(problem update)

I have several Sicce pumps. They have all worked flawlessly for many years. UPDATE: This Sicce 1.0 pump never achieved its claimed quiet pump performance. Maybe I have a lemon. Now, after about 1.5 years, it has become very noisy and its performance has dropped significantly, but it has never been remotely quiet. Trying to enjoy the tank while listening to the pump was disappointing. Of course, no pump will ever be quiet (some would say sicce), but this one was loud to begin with and only got…
