Love, love, love this coffee maker! The main reason for the purchase was the easy water addition and the ability to clean the water tank. Filling our old pot meant filling the pot with water, adding just a little water because it's not true, turning the unit sideways to see the tiny smudges on the tank, and placing a kitchen towel next to the unit , to catch the inevitable water that is in the reservoir so and did not hit. I can't see well, so the instrument of frustration for me was a black coffee maker with a narrow, dark, poorly marked window. And if the coffee basket (also black with small black hieroglyphs) wasn't placed quite correctly, there was even more trouble: thick coffee, the basket overflows. My time is precious! So the search for a coffee maker with a transparent removable tank was a real realization for me. I can actually see how much water is going into the tank! The only thing missing from this machine is a water filter, but we use filtered water so this is not necessary. This coffee maker is elegant in its simplicity, easy to use, can be placed on the side or along the counter AND makes great coffee.
