Very useful and reliable

I was looking for external hard drives for extra storage as my iMac desktop was running out of space. Most of the files that are saved on the hard drive are photos and videos of my family, so having reliable storage is important to me. I've never used SSDs before, but I've heard that they're much faster than HDDs, so I decided to give it a try based on a video review I saw on Youtube. The package includes a cute little pouch to keep the device safe and a USB stick. Adapter. I really liked the compactness of the device, as my previous external hard drive (Seagate HDD) was significantly larger. This makes it much more portable and easier to take with you on the go. It's less than 1/2 the size of my iPhone 11! While the looks/aesthetics didn't affect my purchasing decision, this SSD feels very solid, which is an added bonus! .I didn't do any specific speed tests, but this external SSD is very fast. I was able to load 20GB of images onto the SSD in about 10 seconds. While not a fair comparison, this unit is much faster than my Seagate hard drive. The device was also very easy to use. All I did to use the device for the first time was plug it in, open it from the D: drive and start copying files. I also liked that it worked seamlessly with both a Mac and an Asus laptop with no configuration changes required. For those who aren't very tech savvy, not having to do anything to set up the device was great.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Useless features
