Do not buy Our underground fence has been standing for 10 years, after this time and a good number of breakdowns due to major accidents (digging a well, driving a tractor, ect), we have decided to give the replace entire wire. We used this wire and within a month of replacing it we had 6 breaks. Disclaimer: We live in a village and these interruptions are due to wild animals digging up the wire. BUT we never had a problem with the old petsafe cable. I am not sure what is in the coating on this wire but it obviously attracts wildlife and has caused many breaks in a very short period of time. It's quite annoying after spending $$$ and many hours replacing the entire fence only to end up with more disruption than we originally replaced!
