Bought the silver ones which happened to match my car's paint perfectly. I think if they were a contrasting color they might be too light and look too light. The size and profile are suitable for the application. They are small in width so they prevent some minor bumps on the door which the thinner one might not. They come with 3M tape so I suspect they will definitely stay. Photos are attached.
