These knives are strong and sharp and I'm so impressed I'm putting another set on my shopping list. The only downside I have is that I don't have enough steak knives, but I just wash them in hot vinegar water and then dry them anyway. I wouldn't wash them in the dishwasher, but I put them to the test of the day, soaking the pair in water overnight and then laying them out on a mat to dry. There was no soaking rust so I didn't hand dry them thinking the rust would show if they air dried. It didn't happen, just a small water stain that washes off easily.
