Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Heavy Duty Dishwasher Top Rack Adjuster with Reinforced 0.90 Inch Diameter Wheels by Walt Smirnoff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A much sturdier version of the KitchenAid OEM part

It appears to be much better assembled than the original part it replaces. Time will tell if it actually works, but I have far more faith in the thicker single pole pins found in this one being able to handle the load than in the flimsy 4-piece terminals that failed fairly quickly in the life of our dishwashers and requested this repair. And the load isn't small: just look at the number of mugs, bowls and glasses you usually load on the top shelf and try to estimate their weight. Divide that number by four and you get the weight for each of those little wheels. For reference, my dishwasher is KitchenAid, model KUDS301XWH9, type 577-1. Also keep in mind that this kit contains only one regulator; I have bought sets that contain two and forgot to realize that this set only contains one. All my fault. I've just ordered a second one so I can replace both sides while the installation process is still relatively fresh in my mind. I found a great YouTube video showing how to do it. A tip: Slowly and carefully loosen all three plastic clips and install the new regulator. If your dishwasher has been in use for a while, it is likely that all the plastic parts have become brittle from constant exposure to the detergent and the high temperature of the drying cycle. If you push any of these parts aggressively, there's a good chance it will break - and you'll return to the store to buy new parts. Take your time and be careful when removing and reinstalling. Much luck. I will only update this review if I come across any malfunction of these parts. If this verification is intact, it means the part is still fit for purpose.
