For me it was about 3 months if that. After 2 months it started to fail. The shower head falls off and doesn't stay on, every time we turn on the water it just falls off. I can pick him up and squeeze harder, but he falls again. This is very annoying, because before it even hit us in the head. This is unacceptable and it is too late for me to return the item or I would have done so a long time ago. The wearable model is great but the overlay is terrible as it just won't hold up. I don't recommend finding anything else as this one is only temporarily good. Edit: And by drop I don't mean a pipe, I mean a drop as if free where the big head connects to the female part connected to the source. The design is messed up and swapping parts doesn't help. My goodness, what's wrong with this thing. It doesn't fall, it seems to slide off every time it's hit or the water pressure starts. Crazy
