I bought this thermometer because I need a thermometer with a high and low temperature alarm for making yogurt and cheese. Three stars because it does what it's designed to do, but it has some significant design flaws which means I'll be buying another thermometer as soon as possible. like an alarm clock. If I'm not standing right next to him, I can't hear him. This defeats the purpose of using IMO.Crummy UI. 1. Press a tiny button with a tiny label for X seconds and then press another tiny button with a tiny label. 2. The alarm settings can only be adjusted manually by increasing the temperature in 1 degree increments. Each degree increase requires a button press - there is no quick increase mode. There is also no reset mode. Since the adjustable temperature range is -50 to 300°C (-58 to 572 F), it takes AT LEAST 350 KEYPRESSES (or 630 if using Fahrenheit) to reset the high temperature alarm to a temperature below the current setting.
