Revainrating 2 out of 5

It must have been love. But now it's all over.

EDIT 6/19/2018: I spoke too soon. He died last night, just over the second pot of soup. Now I'm talking to their warranty department but I don't really want a new one. EDIT 7/2/2018 The warranty department didn't reply to me so I sent it back via Revain. Revain is amazing and the return was very easy. A customer service rep from Ovente finally called me to apologize after reading this review. I really appreciate that and would like to at least give your brand another chance in the future. First Review: I used a $10 Walmart blender, which does the job perfectly. but then the casing around the blade finally got dusty. As a replacement, I first ordered a Koios 500 watt from Revain. which sounded amazing but was a huge bummer. I use an immersion blender for soup and although the Koios motor was 250% more powerful than the Walmart, it did NOT create suction on the blade. This meant that in order to mix the pot with the soup, I had to literally fish around the entire dish, trying to pierce each carrot and onion individually to get a smooth, homogeneous puree. nope I actually gave up and used a broken Walmart to mix this soup pot. And then I brought this idiot back. (or, I guess, no dope) This hand blender is beautiful. I used it for an Indian pumpkin soup earlier this week. I was very pleased! This hair is heavier than Wallace Martin's, but it has a metal body that I expect will last a very long time. It also creates a very nice vortex that causes movement throughout the pan, blowing chunks of soup right into the beast's blades. I really like this blender and am very happy with the price. Another thing I like; It doesn't have a bunch of nonsense and nozzles that I won't be using. This is Ron Swanson among hand blenders. This is a simple, well-functioning $15 hand blender that doesn't need a bunch of flashy accessories to make up for its crappyness. So why 4 stars? Well, when I first took it out of the box, it was a harsh, high-pitched screech. Now my 2 year old daughter does too and I still love her. So it's not a deal breaker. I put some olive oil on the shaft and it was gone immediately. It was just a poor first impression that might indicate less than outstanding attention to detail in the craftsmanship. However, let me remind you again. 15 dollars. If you are a world class chef you will be using this 10 or 15 times a week. come on boy Set realistic expectations for this blender. But if you're just a guy who likes to make soup a few times a month, I love and recommend these!
