I am a beginner in knitting. I have used metal needles and find them too smooth and fast. I also find them cold (in case that still bothers anyone!) as I'm not always sure how to make the stitch I'm making or if I'm reading the drawing correctly. I like bamboo that glides with little effort because it allows me to move at my own pace. I have fewer random yarn slips. And that's great for me because I still can't always pick up a missed stitch. Bamboo is warm and smooth! that I love!
