Desperate and glad to have it

I ordered this through Revain as my local yarn shop is closed (COVID) and was just glad to get exactly the yarn I was looking for. Happy with the product but later found my yarn at my local store and ordered my next needed quantity there. Instead I got 6 of these for the same price as 2 at Revain and had a free shipping coupon for my local shop. The usual cost was $3.69 per unit, and Revain's is nearly three times that. It's okay if you're in a tight spot and need yarn ASAP, but that's about…

Black yarn stuck in gray hair after two days of knitting

I WILL NOT be returning this yarn. I sent a photo and I still have it, but apparently it ended up in the wrong place. So email me where you can see it. I've been knitting for two days and I'm not coming back. Blame me if you want, but don't expect me to agree with you if you don't agree with me. I really want to show you a picture. Please send me somewhere that I can email it to you. It has a black spot on the yarn that I found after 2 days of knitting that ruined the piece I knitted.

Cons
  • Unfashionable

Good all purpose yarn

Hot Red bright red without too much orange. The color itself is a little flashy, but not unattractive. Next to other colors, it will be much more beautiful. I also bought Cherry and Flamingo, dark red and pink. Other colors I've bought are Pool, Denim, Gold, Hunter Green, Guava, Lavender, and Oatmeal. All of them are very similar to the photo. The quality and thickness of these colors are about the same. Super Saver is not the best yarn for making fine knitted garments and accessories as it is…

Too coarse! on yarn

Red Heart was never my favorite yarn because it was never very soft. But for the last blanket I made, I used Red Heart because of the specific colors I chose. It was a decision I regretted. The softness of this yarn has deteriorated incredibly. I could only crochet briefly every day. If I tried to work on my project for more than 30 minutes, I would literally get friction burns on my index finger. I have been crocheting for 43 years and have never owned yarn like this. By sheer coincidence, my…

Economy yarn

Red Heart yarn is good value but not as soft as some other brands like Vanna's Choice yarn. I still love this yarn but having worked with the softer Vanna's Choice yarn on other projects I find it a little clumsy. One thing I've noticed about Red Heart yarn is that the darker the rich color, the stiffer the yarn. However, after washing, it will become softer. The color is rich, deep and even throughout the strand. I used 3 strands in a little burgundy blanket I made and 5 strands of lavender in

Perfect for African Curls (Hair)

I needed this to prime my hair as a protective styling method. Acrylic fibers don't absorb all of the moisture from my hair (important point!) - It was easy to grab and wrap around my hair (as a beginner) - I could easily knit more yarn if I ran out of patterns. Hair.- You can find almost any color to mix with your hair. This black matched my dark brown/grey hair. If someone inexperienced is trying to make African threads, try yarn first! And be sure to buy material that won't damage or dry out

Pros
  • Available in Black
Cons
  • High Price

annoying scratchy

super scratchy. I have tried most of the Super Spar line so far. I hated crocheting it because it had just been soaked in water, vinegar and hair conditioner to soften it. Now I'm waiting for it to dry and hope it works. The color is also much darker than it appears in the photo. It won't work for the project I intended it for, so I'll find something else related to it. I really wish Red Heart offered the same quality in this line. It's such a great price, but you never know what you're going…
