My six month old daughter LOVES this toy! It's easy for her to hold, easy to activate, and she liked it immediately. At first I was a little annoyed because when I pulled the power button, there was no music and I was ready to jump on the one-star "This toy came with dead batteries" car. but my husband found out that there is a button on the bottom of the squid. Just turn the little man over and press the button, and do the same whenever you want some peace and quiet. It only plays four songs and only small snippets, so it gets annoying quickly. All the kid has to do is put some pressure on the squid's head and they're good to go. I would definitely buy this as a gift.
