I am an avid road cyclist and I am very happy with my Sponeed shorts and I think they are worth the extra cost compared to the Santic. The longest ride in them back then was only 22 miles, but based on my experience with these shorts I expect them to work well for longer rides (up to a century in my case). I will update this review after doing some longer rides (40-80 miles). The overall construction of the shorts is excellent and the materials are of the highest quality. They fit snugly on everything (I'm 5ft 11" and 165 pounds). They don't sag or wrinkle (like I did with the Santic shorts) and they're not so tight that they're uncomfortable. They breathe well too. I rode in our hot and muggy Austin weather and had no issues with breathability, irritation or chafing. The padding is of high quality and I haven't noticed any comfort issues on my butt yet. My only complaint is the obvious advertising on the shorts (big lettering on both legs and trump stamp on the back) I would have preferred something a little more understated but given the price and quality of the shorts I put up with how they scream their name out of the World.
