Cheap spare parts cost me more!

I've had this product for about a week, it has worked great several times when cleaned. While cleaning today, I noticed that the side brush came loose as I continued cleaning. When I tried to screw it back in, it just stayed loose and fell off again. Upon further investigation found that there was some plastic wrapped around the screw they provided, the screw they provided removed it where the side brushes. So now I'm stuck with an IRobot that doesn't have a side brush, not to mention I have no idea what to do to fix the problem. Cheap for the price, it seems it will cost me more to fix it. If I had known that, I would have simply purchased the spare parts directly from IRobot.
