Review on NuTone S97017706 Ventilation Motor Assembly by Dakota Afzalian

. I have not installed any of these motor/fan replacements in Nutone and have been very happy so far. This exchange went smoothly, as did the others, but I need to investigate further as the performance is poor. The motor is very noisy, not only the venting, which can be noisy, and the lack of vibration, but also the rather loud hum of the electric motor, which is more in line with a much more powerful motor. Originally 18 years old, the fan motor was quiet but began to vibrate over time. In addition, the fan blows some air back into the room, and the air outlet is not blocked, the outer air outlet door opens very well. It needs to be checked what happens without a lens installed. ------------ -------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- ------------------------- --------UPDATE: Here's what I found upon further inspection: The motor in the original block was 0.6 amps, the new motor's nameplate says 1.6 amps, but the label on the fitment case says 1 .9 amps. The motor ran very hot and very noisy (not just because of the air moving noise. The reason for the air blowing down was a small gap on one side of the bracket, I could have put some tape on it if there hadn't been any other problems but I cleaned the old fan assembly, put a drop of oil on it and put it back, much better than replacing it.
