So I bought two sets hoping to hang them in different places. I hung the first set around the pool railing. sveta So, being a techie, I took the solar box apart and found that the O-ring was broken. The battery seemed fine and the circuit board was conformally coated to keep moisture out, but I'm assuming the CPU chip had failed. Repurpose the light and box and control the light with my own MicroPic. The second set sits around the pool rail and works flawlessly for a few weeks. I like the fact that the LEDs are in a waterproof clear tube, but they're quite a chip and I'd either buy different bulbs or get multiple sets for the price and expect at least one of them to fail
