They're great for helping smaller people into the back seat. They feel solid and strong enough to withstand the rigors of everyday use. One thing I haven't considered is that if you're in the driver's seat and someone uses it to sit behind you, you feel like you're falling backwards. ;) My daughter has a friend who uses it all the time when she is indoors. Now I know she'll pull it every time, so I'm ready. If you have young passengers who like to play with things while driving, be aware that they can pull on them, which can be very distracting. You can simply lift the headrest and push the handle against the front of the seat, problem solved. All in all this is a great product that works as intended.
