Good entry price, works well enough once you understand the relationship between WME and RH. A clearer guide to this would be
Once the tester got used to the difference between WME and Relative Humidity it worked quickly and efficiently. This device costs about half the price of others I've considered. I was able to find a chart/graph online showing the correlation between WME (Wood Moisture Equivalent) and Relative Humidity. It was very helpful. This device works best in WME mode for external applications. I ordered an extra 5" probe but couldn't get it to work and the "remote" contacts worked intermittently. Otherwise I would give this tool 4 stars. Overall I'm glad I bought this device anyway, I just use a feeler gauge that plugs right into the tool.
