I bought the SHRATE HD monocular because: 1. I've always found it uncomfortable to carry around my bulky branded binoculars.2. Focusing (a. spread your legs for a good view, b. adjust the diopter compensation on the right eye and c. then focus/focus) was too cumbersome. Especially when the second user, who also suffers from ametropia, constantly had to readjust the lens. In contrast, this monocular offers clear advantages. The choice to look with or without glasses, the correct adjustment of the eyecup, the focus, done! A diopter adjustment is not necessary! Of course, I can't compare this telescope with very high quality, but at such a price and for this purpose, because I use it quite well (observing animals with it or watching ships sailing through the sea on vacation). The monocular offers a good field of view and a very decent image quality even in twilight. The situation is different when I set up my cell phone and want to take photos or film with a tripod, then the pictures come out quite well and the zoom allows you to see a lot of details. The body is fairly solidly built, with sharp focusing easy to handle with one hand. The storage bag serves its purpose perfectly. I would order it again in a heartbeat.
