Tri-color ink is no longer recognized by printer after 1 month of minimal use. The printer complains that it cannot recognize the cartridge, remove and reinsert it. I have done this several times. Looks like the tri-color cartridge chip is defective. This is the shortest lifespan for a printer cartridge I've ever used and I've never seen one of them fail in this way (they usually ran out of ink sooner than expected). We don't print much and usually only buy cartridges once a year.
