Just plug it in and launch the Home app. Then press the + button to add an accessory. Scan the QR code and it will be added in about a minute. I had one of four failed settings so I reset them by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Then everything went well. Once they are added, you can launch the Meross app and click + there to add devices to this app. Plugs should (if I remember correctly) show up in blue at the top as a device already connected to the network, so you don't have to select the device type from the list. From there you can update the firmware. (Optional step) After updating the firmware, I configured my wireless router to prevent these devices from accessing the internet. Homekit still has a lot of control over them. It's just a precaution I take with all of my cheap Chinese made Wi-Fi devices.
