Review on Premium Maxpow Rear Hatch Lift Support Strut for CRX 1988-1991 Tailgate - 2Pcs Set by Myron Lovro

I bought these to replace broken factory brackets on my 1991 CRX Si. They support the Maxpow brand. The fit was great, they look just like the factory. The quality looks the same. They mount to the hatch using the ball nuts provided and factory 14mm bolts to the hull. Some say in their reviews that they are wrong because they don't have two ball ends. These folks were previously given cheap aftermarket props that didn't use a factory mount. This is a direct replacement for the factory mounts and is the same mount as the factory mounts. They seem very smooth to close the sunroof and open the sunroof by itself after opening it up a few inches. They work great and hold the sunroof very well. I have a large whale tail wing on my hatch so it's a bit heavier than the standard wing and they don't have a problem with the extra weight. Having just installed them, I have no idea how long they will last, but considering a pair is $20 and only a factory Honda is over $60, I'd say it will offers great value for money. if they hold for a while. If I run into any issues I'll update this review, but so far I'm very impressed! If you need new CRX mounts AND HAVE FACTORY INSTALLED LUGGAGE RACKS these are definitely worth buying!
