I bought this smooth-on kit for a cool project . I looked at a few other materials including alginate kits. I chose this because I could use the forms multiple times. Since this was my first experience with an impression material, I wanted to play it safe (maybe too much :D) so I also bought Hyper-Folic Release Additive and Body Double Release Cream (both Smooth-Release Cream) in addition to this kit. about products). I have to say that this product is very easy to use and almost impossible to spoil (adding hyperfolic acid was also very easy). I've only used release cream once as it leaves a waxy residue in the mold but it definitely works. I used a casting set for the hand casts and it took a little patience to remove the mold from the model after a while. I've found that aerosol cans (like those used to dust computer keyboards) help remove mold from the model (if used in short bursts) and also help separate the positive mold from the negative. I definitely want to use this Smooth-On product for any future projects I have.
